4 Afghan policemen killed by Taliban suspects

Afghan officials reported that four Afghan policemen were killed in an insurgent attack assisted by an insider loyal to the Taliban.

According to AFP sources, attackers stormed the police post at Trin Kot, a remote district in the southern province of Uruzgan, before dawn and killed the officers as they slept.

On Wednesday, a suicide bomber killed three people in an attack on a U.S. base in Afghanistan on Wednesday, the same base that is believed to be used by the CIA and which a suicide bomber attacked three years ago killing seven CIA employees.

On Monday, an Afghan policewoman killed a U.S. police adviser at the Kabul police headquarters, raising troubling questions about the direction of the war.
