Lavrov: Russia and China prep resolution on Syria
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow and Beijing are ready to present a new draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council concerning the unrest in Syria.

The draft resolution will be different from the one presented by the Western countries last week condemning both violations from the Syrian regime and the opposition which faced a Russian-Chinese veto.

Lavrov expressed his concerns as the West presented a draft resolution to the UN Security Council that would impose sanctions on Syrian weapon imports into the country seen as Russia’s strategic ally in the Middle East.
