US to sanction banks that help Russia's war in Ukraine

The United States has decided to impose sanctions on foreign banks supporting Russia's war in Ukraine in a new attempt to exert economic pressure on Moscow, as announced by the White House.

Senior officials in the administration stated that President Joe Biden would sign an executive order on Friday allowing the United States to target financial institutions that support Russian defense industries and take strict measures against imports of Russian goods that come through other countries.
