State Dept warns Israel's move on West Bank settlements is 'dangerous'

The US State Department described today, Wednesday, reports indicating that Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich seeks to legitimize dozens of settlement sites in the West Bank, occupied by Israel, as "dangerous and reckless."

Deputy State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said during his daily briefing that Washington is also continuing to pressure the Israeli government for more information regarding reports of mass graves found in the Gaza Strip.
