REPORT: Syrian activist honored with US Woman of Courage Award

The Syrian activist Razan Zaitouneh was honored with a US "woman of courage" award, for succeeding in highlighting the crimes and human rights violations committed by the Syrian regime, and keeping on raising international awareness over the Syrian crisis, as well as for seeking to reach a free, democratic nation in Syria.            

While US Secretary of State John Kerry, alongside First Lady Michelle Obama were presenting the awards, the Syrian activist was not able to attend the ceremony for remaining in hiding since her life is in jeopardy because of her major role in the Syrian revolution.                          

This report will shed the light on the major achievements of the Syrian activist in her peaceful and rightful activities, as well as the other women who were honored with the same award.
