Peres urges further Arab intervention in Syria
                
Israeli President Shimon Peres delivered on Tuesday a speech in the European Parliament, calling on the Arab League to intervene in Syria "to stop the massacre".                      

Peres stressed that the Arab League should form a provisional government in Syria to stop the bloodshed, urging the United Nations to support the Arab League to build "an Arab force in blue helmets".                        

Peres added that Syrian President Bashar Assad is a threat to the entire region "and even for Europe because he possesses a chemical arsenal".                  

Peres also attacked Tehran by saying that "the greatest danger to peace in the world is the present Iranian regime," for "aiming to build a nuclear weapon" but also for violating human rights.                    

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli leader is about to wind up an eight-day European tour.
