Xi says China ready to 'deepen cooperation' with Africa in infrastructure, trade

Chinese President Xi Jinping told African leaders Thursday that China was ready to "deepen cooperation" with the continent in infrastructure and trade during a speech at the opening ceremony of a summit in Beijing.

"China is ready to deepen cooperation with African countries in industry, agriculture, infrastructure, trade, and investment," Xi said at the Great Hall of the People in the capital.
