EU chief to visit Poland to meet leaders of flood-hit nations, Warsaw says

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet leaders of several flood-hit nations in the Polish city of Wroclaw on Thursday, Poland’s government said.

“Von der Leyen will visit Wroclaw on September 19,” the government’s press office said, adding that she will hold talks with the leaders of Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia, which have been affected by extreme weather and flooding caused by Storm Boris.
