Saudi Arabia upgrades National Guard presidency to ministry

Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz upgraded on Monday the Saudi National Guard presidency to a ministry.

He also appointed Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz as Minister of the National Guard.

In this context, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a royal order as saying: “the Presidency of the National Guard will be superseded by the Ministry of the National Guard and the Minister of the National Guard will replace the Commander of the National Guard, wherever they are used in systems, regulations, decisions and royal orders and decrees."
