Israel top court rejects Katsav's appeal
Israeli media are reporting that the country's Supreme Court has rejected former President Moshe Katsav's appeal of his rape conviction, clearing the way for him to go to prison.

Katsav was convicted last December of raping a former employee when he was a Cabinet minister and of sexually harassing two other women during his term as president. The court had let him stay out of jail pending his appeal. The justices were still reading their decision as the media reported the ruling on Thursday.

Details on Katsav's prison term have not been announced.
