Ashton inaugurates EU Delegation in Tripoli

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton announced on Saturday that she will officially inaugurate today the new Delegation of the European Union in Tripoli, Libya.

Ashton is expected to meet with new Libyan officials during her visit to Libya.

“Opening a EU Delegation in Tripoli underlines the EU's commitment to forge close relationship with the Libyan people, both during the political transition and in the long term,” she added
