Chatah’s family continues receiving condolences in Tripoli

The family of late former minister Mohamad Chatah continued on Tuesday receiving condolences at the Quality Inn hotel in the northern city of Tripoli.

Deputies Samir al-Jisr, Mohammad Kabbara, Mouin al-Merehbi and Ahmad Fatfat were also present, as well as the personal representative of former PM Saad Hariri in the North Abdel Ghani Kabbara.

Chatah was killed when an explosion rocked the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday, December 27, targeting his convoy.

Sources at the explosion site said Chatah was on his way to attend a meeting at Beit al-Wasat when the explosion occurred.

The explosion in Beirut's Starco claimed the lives of 8 persons, including former minister Chatah, and injured 71 others.
