Death and destruction continue in war-torn Syria

Amateur video purports to show the bloody aftermath of what is said to be aerial bombing by the Syrian government in Al-Hula on Wednesday (January 21) in which at least ten people are said to have been killed.

Reuters is unable to independently verify the content of the videos which were obtained from a social media website.

The first video shows an explosion caused when Syrian government helicopters purportedly dropped barrel bombs on the town near Homs.

A scene of panic and confusion among people on the ground follows, with the clip showing a pick-up truck transporting bodies covered in blood and some severely injured people to a field hospital where medical crews can be seen checking the bodies.

Inside the field hospital a man screaming 'I swear to god I will bomb myself' is consoled by others.

Chaos reigns in another video uploaded to a social media website which purports to show the aftermath of what is said to be a car bomb in the Ekrima area of Homs.

A screaming woman sits next to a body on the street while others rush past her towards flames are visible on the opposite side of the road.

The cameraperson begins to walk down the street where bodies can be seen lying amongst dusty debris near a shop front which has been completely destroyed.      A blue car said to be the the car which contained the bomb, sits in the middle of the rubble.

A third clip said to be shot in Kobani shows what is said to be Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) fighters rapidly firing at a target out of site but that is said to be Islamic State militants.

The video goes on to show another alleged YPG fighter firing a rocket launcher from the top of a destroyed building while other fighters move through the streets of Kobani engaging in fierce firefight. Debris can be seen scattered across the road.

In another video uploaded to a social media website civil defense workers can be seen running through smokey streets.

The clip, said to be shot in Aleppo, purportedly shows the aftermath of an aerial bombing by Syrian government forces on the Tal-rifaat area of the city.

An ambulance with its siren on is seen driving through the debris while people run up and down the street.

Several buildings and cars appear to be completely destroyed.
