Join The Kids Who Swim To Beat Cancer
Yes, while the weather may be dark and dreary, here’s your chance to light the path of several kids who need all the help they can get.

Because every child has the right to dream, learn and hope, Myschoolpulse, a Lebanese NGO, brings school to hospitals to help children keep up with their studies while undergoing treatment for  acute and chronic illnesses. This mission is made indispensable as there are high chances of recovery from many of these illnesses.

It’s real easy to join, just click on this link and register your kids for their chance to pay it forward. You can also check their Facebook page.

The indoor pool will host children, between the ages of 4 and 18, swimming in laps to raise funds for sick kids who miss school to take treatment at hospital to fight against their illness.

Founded in June 2010 by a mother who had lost her 12-year-old child to bone cancer, Myschoolpulse has come a long way.
Here’s how it all began.

The organization does not rely on gala dinner for fundraising, but instead hosts two main sports events a year, one of which is the Pulse 5K on the first Sunday of August, at the Faqra Club, the second being the swim-a-thon.

This Saturday November 22, Myschoolpulse is hosting its fund raising swim-a-thon in Lebanon’s Holiday Beach from 9AM till 2 PM .

A third fundraising program called “Dine for Myschoolpulse” is also being organized for the entire month of December, whereby you can dine and donate in a partner restaurant with donation proceeds going to help the organization in its mission.

Our only chance in building a decent country lies in teaching our children values of kindness, empathy and the right to an education, because a diagnosis is not the end of the road. So please do not hesitate to register your kids in the swim today! Last minute comers are also welcome.

And because LBCI supports such causes, here is our report from this year’s Pulse 5K Faqra Club event held on August 4,2014 .
