[VIDEO] Lebanese Photographer Captures Iceland’s Aurora Borealis… And It’s Spectacular!

“When he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars and he will make the face of heaven so fine, that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish sun.” – William Shakespeare

Remember the story on the Lebanese Night Collective photographers who filmed the bird strike that prompted the flying aircraft to land back in Beirut last month moments after takeoff?

Well one of those photographers, the same man behind the airplane video and other works including "Stars of Lebanon - A chromatic musical misanthropy” has got a treat for you. And yes, it’s the result of that very tiring and arduous trip to Iceland.

The Lebanese photographer, who goes by the moniker Moophz Himself, is the man behind this masterpiece titled “In Memory of the Living - Aurora Borealis Timelapse”.

The video, shot in Iceland between the 9th and 26th of March 2015 depicts the Northern Lights in full glory. Dedicated to the memory of a friend he had lost one moonless night, it presents an emotional experience like no other.

What a shame that talent in Lebanon of this proportion widely goes unnoticed while our media seems to remain stuck somewhere in an interdimensional “prehistoric” wormhole.

Talent such as this should be embraced and made mainstream- just my two cents. Because, the bright star that was once Lebanese media will surely one day become a supernova and when that day comes, spectacular as it may seem, darkness and infinite gravity will surely ensue.

But until that day comes, and unless true "stars" are given a chance to shine, that stellar explosion of ours will be no more significant than human sent radio waves streaming through the dark, infinite universe.

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings." - Cassius, Julius Ceasar -William Shakespeare
