Shaking Off Cancer On National No Bra Day
National No Bra Day is a unique day observed every year on October 13 by women and men across the globe.       
 
Why? Because it’s a fun way to promote breast cancer awareness while raising funds for research.        
 
How? By refraining from wearing a bra and sharing awareness campaigns both on and offline.  
 
In Ireland, Miss Bikini fully embraced the trend posing for this photo and causing quite a stir under the hashtags #NoBraDay or #NationalNoBraDay.
 
The cyclist was distracted to say the least!
 
 
 
 
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National No Bra Day should serve as a reminder for all women to be screened for breast cancer. So please, don’t forget to remind your mother, sister or friend to go get the needed tests. Early detection is among the leading factors of recovery from breast cancer.               
You can then indulge your nearest and dearest to a delicious (albeit not so healthy) “Pink Burger” at Duo Resto with 1,500 L.L. of the original price going to the Faire Face Cancer Association. Not into burgers? Then head to Mayrig or Batchig for a more organic alternative! They are also joining the campaign to help the organization during cancer awareness month.
 
 
Remember, the point is to raise as much awareness as possible because cancer is still the number one killer globally. According to the World Health Organization the 5 most common sites diagnosed among women were breast, colorectum, lung, cervix, and stomach cancer. Breast cancer is among the top 5 most commonly diagnosed!
 
But where's there's tragedy, there is hope. Here's a trooper, a heroine of her own league bracing the rough tides of cancer and documenting her experience in a bid to encourage other women to open up.
