Raad says 8-8-8 formula will not survive, calls on Salam not to waste time

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad declared on Sunday that the 8-8-8 governmental formula, or any other formula that does not represent the political parties according to their actual size in the Parliament will not survive, calling on the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam not to waste time.

During a ceremony held by Hezbollah on the occasion of the commemoration of the birthday of Imam Mahdi, Raad stressed that the Lebanese people need a government capable of preventing the outbreak of strife which some parties have been trying to create in several regions.

On the Syrian level, Raad stated that the main objective behind targeting the state, the people and the Syrian regime was to impose on the country the American - Israeli conditions and to push Syria to abandon its support for the resistance axis in the region.

"The calls for change and reforms are noting but lies to the people in order to destroy Syria,” he added.
