Qabbani: Calling on Sunni Muslims to defect from LAF aims at fomenting strife

The Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani stressed on Monday that attacking the Lebanese Armed Forces is a crime against Lebanon, noting that fighting against the army should not be allowed under any pretext.

Qabbani said that Sidon’s events are completely rejected, calling for holding those responsible accountable.

“Statements calling on Sunni Muslims to defect from LAF are a crime and aim at fomenting strife,” he added.
