Abbas ends visit to Lebanon, meets with Siniora, LF delegation

The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas ended on Saturday his three-day visit to Lebanon, after President Michel Sleiman hosted a farewell ceremony in his honor at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

Earlier in the day, Abbas met with MP Fouad Siniora and a delegation from the Lebanese Forces at Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut where he was staying during his visit.

In this context, Siniora and the LF delegation stressed the importance of the Palestinian stance regarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and the issue of the arms possessed by the Palestinian nationals at the refugee camps.

Abbas arrived to Lebanon Wednesday on a three-day official visit where met with a number of senior officials, including President Michel Sleiman, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker Nabih Berri, as well as other Lebanese officials.
