Singh: UNIFIL communicates with Lebanon and Israel to improve security measures

The official spokesperson for the UNIFIL Niraj Singh explained the information circulated by the media on the construction of a wall separating the Lebanese town of Kfarkila and the Israeli settlement of Al-Mtolleh, adding that the UNIFIL is communicating with both parties to improve security measures in this region.

Singh said that given the region’s sensitivity, it is necessary to reach solutions agreed upon by both sides to take practical measures that would ease the sporadic tensions, explain any possible misunderstanding and build trust between both parties. “For this purpose, I am looking into different ideas at this point”, he said.
