Minister Bou Saab: Official exams’ dates to remain unchanged
Education Minister Elias Bou Saab stressed Tuesday that the dates of the official exams will remain unchanged, clarifying that Grade 9 (Brevet) exams will commence as of June 7th and end by June 11th. As for secondary school (Terminal) exams, the SG and SV section exams will be held from the 13th of June, lasting until the18th while that of SE and LH will be held from the 20th up until the 25th of June.

In a press conference held at the Education Ministry, Bou Saab called on the parliamentary blocs to consider the pay scale as a matter of high importance, stressing that failing to pass the draft law will lead the country into a crisis that will affect the future of the students planning on applying for universities next year.

On the issue of the Lebanese University, the minister said that the LU cannot succeed without full-time professors, pointing out that this case concerns the nation and must be kept at a distance from political rivalries.

“Former President Michel Sleiman did not hinder the Lebanese University’s file, but on the contrary he tried to help,” Bou Saab added.
