Delegation of Future MPs visits Arsal
A delegation of Future bloc MPs in West Bekaa and Rachaya, including Jamal Jarrah, Ziad Kadiri, Assem Araji and Major General Antoine Saad, visited the town of Arsal Sunday to express solidarity with its residents. The delegation toured the region’s mountainous areas.

In this regard, MP Ziad Kadiri said that Arsal is in the heart of the nation; “it does not have a sectarian or political identity, rather one national identity.” He refused that the town becomes a product in the hands of the government to serve the Syrian regime and support it in its crackdown.

For his part, Araji said that the visit to Arsal aims to express solidarity with the town’s residents in the face of the attacks it is subject to since Ghosn’s statement. He added “we hope that the Defense Minister will visit the town to see with his own eyes a Syrian-Lebanese border devoid of al-Qaeda militants or any other armed group."

As to the town’s mayor Ali Mohammad al-Hojeiri, he said that there is no Qaeda or any other terrorist organization in Arsal, calling on those who have proof to inform the concerned authorities.
