Mansour to Jumblatt: If silence is the golden rule, all of us ought to remain silent
Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour spoke out on Tuesday against the statement put forth by MP Walid Jumblatt on Monday in his weekly column for Al-Anbaa daily.

“If silence is the golden rule and if we are seeking democracy, then all of us ought to remain silent and we don’t need lessons from anyone,” Mansour said.

Jumblatt said on Monday “if only Lebanon’s representative would remain silent during the Arab meeting instead of preaching about means out of the current Syrian crisis. If only he would settle for the self-distancing policy for the time being to avert a further blow to the Lebanese state’s credibility.”
