Heavy rain causes flooding in Jounieh sewers, damages stores

Heavy rain caused flooding in Jounieh’s sewerage system and entered stores and shops. The floods damaged the stores’ merchandise ranging from clothing items to electronic gadgets.

The stores’ employees said that this is the second year in a row that such incidents occur, calling on the concerned authorities to repair waterways in the roads and compensate for the losses incurred.
