Ten UNSC members back League's Syria plan
An Arab League resolution calling for a political transition in Syria has support from at least 10 members of the United Nations Security Council, a French diplomatic source said on Monday.

Under Security Council regulations, backing is needed from at least nine of the body's 15 members to take a text to a vote, although it can then be vetoed by any of the five permanent members.

"We have a majority at the U.N. Security Council. We are already at 10, maybe more," the source told reporters in Paris.
