Qabbani had a successful back surgery

After a successful back surgery, Mufti of the Republic left hospital Friday and began receiving well-wishers at his residence, most notably Information Minister who represented the President and Prime Minister.

During his hospital stay, a host of officials contacted Mufti Mohammad Rashid Qabbany, including House Speaker Nabih Berri, and Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji.

Information Minister Walid Daouk relayed President Michel Sleiman's and PM Najib Mikati's best wishes for a speedy recovery. On that occasion, Qabbany hoped that upcoming Prophet Mohammad's Birthday will be a happy occasion that brings peace upon all Lebanese factions.
