Kadiri to LBCI: We refuse to see Lebanon become a base for Free Syrian Army
Future bloc MP Ziad Kadiri called for the deployment of the LAF on the Lebanese borders and not between homes, to reassure the citizens. He called on the government and the security forces to refrain from disassociating themselves, to take things more seriously and to protect the borders.

Kadiri reiterated, through Nharkom Said, his refusal that Lebanese territories become a base for the Free Syrian Army, adding that arms smuggling will not be covered.

Kadiri said that there are thousands of Syrian refugees in the Bekaa, adding that there are social and private relations in the border regions. “The refugees’ freedom of expression is a red line, we cannot abuse these people.”

Commenting on the last speech made by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Kadiri said that Nasrallah overlooked article 64 of the constitution, stipulating that the prime minister is the one who talks on behalf of the government and takes the cabinet’s political decisions.

Kadiri said that the current government reflects a major crisis; it deepened the rift between the Lebanese and did not come up with any solution for them.
