De Freij to LBCI: Keep the economic file away from political debates

Future Movement MP Nabil De Freij said on Monday that he has submitted a draft law regarding the transportation allowance on the basis of the agreement reached between the GLC and economic bodies at the Baabda palace.
“The draft law I have submitted stems from a personal initiative given my position as head of the Economic Committee and it aims at keeping the issue away from political debates”, he told Nharkom Said TV show.

De Freij added that his draft law was included as “a pressing item” in the legislative session’s agenda, explaining that MP Ibrahim Kanaan could have discussed the draft law during the General Committee meeting and requested the amendment of any article.

“Kanaan’s draft law regarding the transportation allowance included fragments that have not been agreed upon by the GLC and economic bodies; nothing can be imposed on the production sides,” he said.
