Mansour contacts Syria's Mouallem, says situation positive

Foreign Minister, Adnan Mansour, contacted on Friday his Syrian counterpart, Walid Mouallem, who told him that the situation in Syria was positive.

The phone conversation between both men featured high on the situation in unrest-swept Syria, but Mouallem assured Mansour that the situation was heading towards becoming "normal".

"We also discussed the United Nation's envoy Kofi Anan's anticipated visit to Damascus tomorrow. Mouallem relayed Damascus's welcoming position with regard to the UN representative’s visit to Syria," a statement by Mansour read.
