Suicide bomber kills three in Nigeria church attack
A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a Catholic church in the Nigerian city of Jos on Sunday, killing at least three people attending mass.

Emergency agency spokesman Yushau Shuaib told AFP that the man drove his car towards St Finbar's Catholic church in the city before setting off a large explosion, killing himself and at least three churchgoers.

Islamist extremist sect Boko Haram claimed responsibility for that attack, warning of more such assaults.

The sect claimed a series of bombings in Jos on Christmas Eve in 2010 that killed as many as 80 people.

The sect also claimed a similar church bombing on February 26 on the main headquarters of the Church of Christ that killed three people and wounded 38 others.
