Lebanese mountains covered in snow as storm “Vladimir” sweeps through the regions

Storm “Vladimir” hit Lebanon on New Year’s Eve, while tight measures were implemented following previous warnings issued by the concerned parties to confront the storm and handle its repercussions.

On Thursday night, snow covered the Chouf regions located on an altitude of 900 meters above sea level, causing several mountain roads to be cut off, isolating a number of villages, while heavy rain was reported across the coastal regions.

Snow was also reported across Zahle.

Meanwhile, snow started falling on Friday morning in Donnieh starting from the regions at 700 meters of altitude.
