REPORT: Storm Vladimir blankets Lebanese mountains in snow

The mountainous regions from northern Lebanon to the south were covered in snow brought by storm Vladimir which hit the country on New Year’s Eve.

 

Snow continued falling in Zahle and its surrounding regions, where a layer of ice formed on the roads and vehicles.

 

Meanwhile, Dahr al-Baydar – Beirut road remained blocked.

 

However, the Internal Security Forces reported that all roads leading to ski slopes in Kfardebian are passable for equipped vehicles.

 

Elsewhere, all roads in the district of Jezzine remained cut off, as well as the roads of Shebaa – Ain Ata – Kfarchouba and Jbeh – Zhelta.
