Lebanese Forces media official Melhem Riachi stressed Tuesday that the nomination of the LF leader Samir Geagea to the head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun for the presidency is not a conspiracy against any party.
Riachi’s comments were made during LBCI’s Nharkom Said whereby he disclosed that the LF had informed its allies in the March 14 alliance of Geagea’s willingness to endorse Aoun for the presidency.
“Saudi Arabia wants the Christian parties to be united,” Riachi added, denying reports stating that the Kingdom exerted pressure on Geagea to back down on his decision to support Aoun as president.
