REPORT: We will not elect a presidential candidate from March 8 camp -Rifi

Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi Sunday called for electing a president who is not committed to Syria and Iran, pointing out that the Future Movement will never support a presidential candidate who does not adhere to the principles of the March 14 camp.

On the eighth anniversary of the assassination of martyr Wissam Eid, Rifi said that the sacrifices of all the martyrs will not go in vain.

For his part, Future bloc MP Kazem el-Kheir delivered a speech on the behalf of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri whereby he stressed that Lebanon will never back Iran.

In Hazmieh, a delegation from the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces laid wreaths of flowers in the explosion site where Eid was killed, on the Chevrolet intersection.

Wissam Eid, a top communications analyst with the police intelligence bureau, was assassinated in a car bombing in the Chevrolet area outside Beirut on January 25, 2008.
