Frangieh still running for presidency

Head of Marada Movement MP Suleiman Frangieh said Wednesday after leaving the dialogue session in Ain Al-Tineh that he is still running for presidency.

“How can one who has 70 votes withdraw from the presidential competition when his opponent only has 40?” he asked. “Read and laugh”, a pure Lebanese saying, was Frangieh’s answer to a question posed on his views on Maarab’s meeting.

The deputy noted that the presidential issue was not tackled during the meeting. “We commit to our words, some think it is our weakness but in reality it is our strength,” he added.

On MP Michel Aoun’s visit to Bnashi, Frangieh said that he is welcome to Bnashi, stressing that he will not change his position.
