REPORT: Civil Defense volunteers threaten government to end volunteering

Civil Defense volunteers threatened to end their volunteering careers if their demands were not approved during the upcoming Cabinet session, stressing that “they will not answer any mission on Lebanese ground after that.”

The volunteers explained that they put the ministry's contact numbers at the disposal of the citizens, should the officials fail to meet their demand of passing a law that makes them full-time employees.

This comes following a series of demonstrations held by the volunteers; they had previously threatened to leave to Syria if their requests were not met.
