Son witnesses father consumed by flames after car catches fire in Sidon

Hassan Ali Khalifa was burned to death on Monday after his van caught fire due to an electrical short-circuit.

Khalifa was driving to his butcher shop in the town of Qnarit, in Sidon, accompanied by his son.

When the fire erupted, the son managed to jump off the car but was unable to rescue his father after failing to open the door.

The son saw his father burning alive before his eyes before the residents manage to pull his charred body out of the van.
