MPs Jamal al-Jarrah and Ziad al-Qaderi filed a complaint against former Minister Wiam Wahhab and al-Akhbar newspaper editor-in-chief Ibrahim al-Amin, before the Public Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud.
In the complaint, the deputies accused Wahhab and al-Amin of “undermining national unity and inciting sectarian strife stipulated in article 317 of Penal Code,” as well as “exposing Lebanon to the risk of possible hostilities, harming its relations with foreign states and subjecting the Lebanese people to reprisals against them and their assets, as stipulated in the articles 288 and 292 of the Penal Code.”
For his part, former Minister Wahhab responded to the complaint, slamming this move carried out by “the Saudi nationals at the Parliament.”
