Mikati: We respect peoples’ will without interfering in their affairs
PM Najib Mikati revealed during a conference on the Middle East on Thursday that the importance of such conference is that it comes simultaneously with the developments in the region and the Middle East and it makes everyone aware of the changes on the political, social and economic level.

Mikati addressed the attendees saying that the Middle East could’ve avoided the negative repercussions in the countries that witnessed revolts if a national dialogue was launched adding that the Lebanese national dialogue based on the Taif accord forms a model for the regional countries to follow.

Commenting on the Syrian crisis he said “Lebanon’s stance regarding the crises in neighboring countries is clear in respecting the freedom of people without interfering in their local affairs.”

“It’s the era of tough choices; we have to choose carefully our stances to safeguard our nation.”
