On the anniversary of March 14, and after 11 years since the massive protests, the squares across central Beirut were empty, activists absent and the cause scattered.
In this regard, head of Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea said Monday that March 14 vision will not change or alter in any way.
“Eleven years have passed and our dream of an independent state still persists”, he added.
Geagea pointed out on the anniversary of March 14 that the difficulties the Alliance is facing do not hit at its core, it’s only a temporary phase and it shall pass.
“If the current situation didn’t allow us to all gather here today, that does not mean March 14 Alliance failed or ended.”
