Judge Sawwan indicts 16 suspects for belonging to terrorist organizations
Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan issued on Thursday six indictments against 16 suspected Islamci State and Nusra Front members over various charges.
Those charged include four Lebanese citizens and 12 Syrian nationals, some of whom are fugitives.
Judge Sawwan indicted them for belonging to extremist groups, murder, attempted murder of Lebanese army soldiers, kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, plotting attacks and arms possession.
The suspects reportedly carried out the crimes in either the northeastern border town of Arsal or the northern border district of Akkar.
