REPORT: Health Ministry permanently closes el-Minieh hospital
Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour decided on Thursday to withdraw the license of investment  and to permanently close the el-Minieh hospital for failing to meet the required health standards

The decision was taken after the Directorate of Medical Care held an inspection for the hospital, revealing that the hospital's health equipment are old and worn out.

The inspection also revealed that the emergency department equipment were rusty, old and non-sterile.
The gynecology department's tools do not meet the minimum public safety and sterilization standards. Also, the rooms lacked air conditioning and had no central oxygen system.

Further inspections held by the mentioned Directorate showed evidence of illegal abortion by Syrians and Lebanese nationals which violates the medical law.
