Tourism Minister Michel Faraon slammed Saturday rhetoric against Saudi Arabia, noting that such statements do not contribute to the disassociation of Lebanon from regional crisis, stressing that there is no alternative to the preservation of the government to manage the people’s affairs.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Faraon pointed out that the president is the pillar of the balance between authorities, noting that the local and foreign support for the government, the Lebanese army and the security stability is still existent.
On another note, the minister called for tackling the issue of the Syrian refugees during dialogue and cabinet sessions, stating that there’s a possibility to reach the minimum level of agreement over this issue.
“There is a demographic danger threatening equilibrium in the country, should the refugee crisis lasts longer,” he added.
