MP Nabil Nicolas to LBCI: The bloc has always been in favor of proportional representation

Change and Reform Bloc MP Nabil Nicolas said on Monday that the bloc was and still in favor of an electoral law based on proportional representation with the largest possible electoral district.

“This law enables moderates to win a parliament seat”, Nicolas told Nharkom Said TV show.

Nicolas also said that PM Najib Mikati cannot adapt himself to the majority since he is still organically linked to the future Movement.

On a separate note, Nicolas said that “Jal al-Dib and al-Metn residents have the right to protest against the decision not to install a new bridge for Jal al-Dib”, adding that Deputy Prime Minister Samir Mokbel informed him that the cabinet is taking its time before installing a bridge under the request of local municipalities.
