Military Tribunal approves request to release suspected killer of Kahil
The State-run National News Agency reported on Thursday that the Military Tribunal approved the request to release Elie Daou, one of the suspects linked to the murder of Major Rabih Kahil.
 
The permanent military court, headed by Khalil Ibrahim, approved the release of Daou, who is being tried for the murder of Kahil in 2015.
 
The fate of Hisham Daou, the other suspect in the murder, was not revealed.
 
Both men were charged in August 2015 with the killing of Kahil.
 
Kahil was murdered during a dispute that turned into a shooting in July 2015 in the region of Bdadoun.
