Harb says he we will not tolerate accusations against his team at the ministry

Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb said on Saturday that everything that has been said about the illegal internet file has “a political character,” adding that he we will not tolerate accusations against his team at the ministry.

Harb’s comments were made during a radio interview whereby he noted the ministry will collect signatures to demand a constitutional amendment that stipulates the resignation of any MP in case he did not attend three parliamentary sessions tasked to elect a new president without a legitimate reason.

Lebanon has been plunged into a presidential vacuum since the mandate of president Michel Sleiman ended without the election of a successor.

Deep differences between rival political parties have thwarted the polls with Hezbollah and Change and Reform MPs boycotting the election sessions.
