Around three years ago, the judge of urgent maters appointed Talal Makdessi as a temporary chairman of Tele Liban’s board of directors, succeeding the late Ibrahim Khoury.
The resigned Cabinet of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqati did not manage at that time to convene and appoint a new chairman.
After this period of time, Information Minister Ramzi Jreij submitted to the Cabinet a detailed report regarding the situation in the state-owned channel, calling for appointing a new board of directors.
The Cabinet is expected to discuss the matter in its upcoming session.
