In the region of Hadath, the most important interest of the people is the preservation of identity and land.
Fifty-five percent of the Hadath properties were sold by their Christian owners and no one can forget the case of the 82,000 square-meter Tallet al-Warwar, which lasted years before their owners managed to restore it.
Preserving the land is not the only challenge before the upcoming municipal council, as the electoral list running against the current council stresses the importance of a development plan as well as other needs that must be met.
