The number of residents of the Chouf town of Barja exceeds 30 thousands in addition to Syrian refugees, who increase the burden on the town’s infrastructure, and to make the matters worse, the town struggles with the Jiyeh power station as well as a continuous discussion about a landfill to be established in the town.
In Barja, no alliance has been brokered between the Future Movement and the Progressive Socialist Party, nor between the Future Movement and the Islamic Group.
However, three candidate lists are running for the electoral race, with development projects as the main headline for their programs.
