Burj al-Arab residents block Akkar-Tripoli road

The residents of Burj al-Arab blocked on Monday the Akkar-Tripoli road in protest of the failure to establish a power plant for the town.

The mayor of the town called on Lebanese leaders and the minister of energy to meet swiftly the residents’ demands, adding that many efforts have not borne fruit yet.
